Non-migratory beekeeping: we only take the honey surplus. The region's only organic beekeeping project.
Guatazales · Bullas · since 1950
Guatazales springs from the union of the land, the river and the honey. Its name draws on roots of Arabic origin tied to water and honey, and expresses the identity of a project deeply bound to the landscape of Bullas.
The name evokes the Arabic expression Wadi al-Asal (وادي العسل), “the riverbed of honey”: an image that joins water, the fertility of the land and the patient work of the bees. More than a name, it is an invitation to wander this landscape slowly and discover the fruits born from it.
Guatazales is the name of a place and of a family. Since 1950 we have tended beehives, olive trees and vines in the Murcian highlands, as part of a regenerative farming project.
A few years ago we decided to open the gate of Villa Agrolavia and share what we live every day: the scent of warm wax, the golden light among the olive trees, the taste of the first oil. We never wanted a theme park — just to invite you to slow down.
We guide every experience ourselves, in small groups, at the hour when the mountains are at their loveliest. Living nature.
I am a beekeeper and farmer, the third generation of this family. I work every day among the hives and olive trees of Guatazales, and I am the one who welcomes you and guides every experience.
